Bishop Gilpin After school Taekwondo
Peak Performance Academy will be delivering Olympic Taekwondo classes to students of Bishop Gilpin.
Taekwondo translates to "The way of the Hand and the Foot" and is a Korean Martial art and and Olympic Sport since the Sydney Olympics In 2000. Students will learn basic blocks, hand strikes and Kicks, as well as learning basic sparring techniques. After school club sessions will not involve students making contact on each other, striking pads will be used for students to deliver their techniques.
Classes will be delivered by head coach of Peak Performance and former Team GB athlete Jibreel Malik who has competed at the World and European championships as well as many international competitions.
