Henry Cavendish Primary School

Peak Performance Academy will be delivering Olympic Taekwondo classes to students of Henry Cavendish primary school in across Streatham and Balham sites.

Taekwondo translates to "The way of the Hand and the Foot" and is a Korean Martial art and and Olympic Sport since the Sydney Olympics In 2000. Students will learn basic blocks, hand strikes and Kicks, as well as learning basic sparring techniques. After school club sessions will not involve students making contact on each other, striking pads will be used for students to deliver their techniques.

Classes will be delivered by Taim Othman, coach at Peak Performance Balham. Taim has coached athletes from absolute beginners to athletes representing at regional, National Level and International level.
